Tim Saunders was born in
Pendia, Cyprus, an island in the
Mediterranean Sea, in 1958.
Tim
has lived in various parts of the world, as his
father was with the CIA.
In
1978, Florida became home.
He
graduated from the University of Florida
in 1980
with a B.A. in Philosophy.
Tim's interest in music
led to his first
entrepreneurial
adventure, The Saunders' Banjo
Manufacturing Company.
In
1991, Tim became President of Lasereliance Technologies, a
laser processing company which
specializes in laser machining
for military and communication
customers.
Tim
first
decided to get involved as a
Civil War reenactor, along with his son,
as a home schooling tool.
Tim
finds "living history", through reenacting, a great way to
grasp the spirit and issues of
the times as well as
learn the fundamentals
of leadership and gain a better understanding
of its history.
When
not reenacting, Tim most likely can be found serving and promoting the
value of arts education, by volunteering his talents building theatrical
sets for Circle Theatre Company. Tim
lives in Seminole County
with his wife, Becky, and his son, Matt.
Wayne A. Alonzo is a native of
New Orleans, Louisiana (born near the plantation of
General P.G.T Beauregard) where he was raised as the youngest of four
sibling. Son of a fisherman
and a salesperson, Wayne took an interest in
the War Between The States, Christian ministry, music, as well as sign
language early on. He
relocated to St. Augustine, Florida
in 1993 where he has been employed as a sign language interpreter, radio
host, and part-time missionary.
Wayne
graduated from University of
North
Florida in 2005 with a B.A. degree
in History and a minor in psychology.
As a great-great grandson of a Confederate veteran, he has
written numerous papers on subjects relating to the War which have been
re-printed in numerous periodicals as well as the 2nd Florida Volunteer
Infantry web site. Today,
Wayne lives in Palm
Coast, Florida with his family: wife Erica, and
daughters Taylor and Ashtyn.
After toying with the idea of reenacting for many years,
Wayne
joined the 2nd Florida Volunteer Infantry shortly after its formation in
2007. Since then he has
been elected by the men to serve as 2nd Sergeant.
Lee Monroe was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1958.
At the age of 5 he moved to
Tallahassee,
Florida, and in 1982 he moved to Orlando, where he
currently resides. Lee attended Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg,
Florida and later went on to attend Florida State University.
He was a professional trumpet player
through 1987. He has been a full-time
professional music copyist since 1982.
In 1995 he co-founded Express Music Services, a music production
company, and in 1997 became the sole owner of EMS.
His company produces music for Walt
Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and several other high-profile
clients worldwide. He lists his
marriage to Rosanne and their two fine children, Andrew and Sarah, as his
greatest personal achievements. Lee
joined 2nd Florida shortly after its
inception and has found a home among the fine musicians there, which has
rekindled his desire to perform, as well as the pure joy of sharing music
with close friends.

Chemistry, worked at Dow Chemical in Plaquemine,

and Brenna. Clay currently
resides in Southwest Orlando.
