Tim Saunders was born in Pendia, Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, in 1958.  Tim has lived in various parts of the world, as his father was with the CIA.  In 1978, Florida became home.  He graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 with a B.A. in Philosophy.  Tim's interest in music led to his first entrepreneurial adventure, The Saunders' Banjo Manufacturing Company.  In 1991, Tim became President of Lasereliance Technologies, a laser processing company which specializes in laser machining for military and communication customers.  Tim first decided to get involved as a Civil War reenactor, along with his son, as a home schooling tool.  Tim finds "living history", through reenacting, a great way to grasp the spirit and issues of the times as well as learn the fundamentals of leadership and gain a better understanding of its history.  When not reenacting, Tim most likely can be found serving and promoting the value of arts education, by volunteering his talents building theatrical sets for Circle Theatre Company. Tim lives in Seminole County with his wife, Becky, and his son, Matt.

Larry K. French is a native of Virginia. One of his ancestors was a Sgt in the 4th NC that fought in the First Battle of Manassas.  Growing up in a military family, he used to play on a turret from the USS Maine when he wasn’t trying to climb on the captured Japanese midget sub on display when he lived in Key West.  If you haven’t guessed it, Larry is interest in the military and history, especially the War Between The States.  Larry has a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Biological Sciences.  He’s worked in the Florida Park Service as an Interpretive Ranger, taught Science, and worked as a Senior Editor for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.  Larry is an accomplished novelist, speaker, editorial writer, and content provider of Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Mathematics curriculum.  His first novel, Time Will Tell, The Awakening which blends his love of War Between The States history and science is awaiting publication.  When Larry’s not at his desk you can find him applying his expertise as a Florida Master Naturalist somewhere outdoors enjoying Florida’s unique natural habitats and wildlife, or keeping history alive in some historical reenactment. Larry lives in Deltona, Florida with his wife Robin close to their daughters.  Larry helped form the 2nd Florida Volunteer Infantry.

Buck Custer was born in Los Angeles, California and lived in the Southern California area until moving to Florida in 2000. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles and holds a BS in Anthropology and an MA in Public Administration. His career, after serving 8 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, was in Law Enforcement with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, retiring after 26 years with the rank of Lieutenant.  Buck became interested in the War Between the States when he discovered ancestors who fought on both sides of the conflict.  This led to membership in both the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.  Buck is Past Department Commander, Department of Florida, SUVCW and 1st Lieutenant Commander of his SCV Camp. He was recruited by Captain (then Sergeant) Clay Kearney in 2006 and has been a member since.  His wife, Bonnie, has decided to join as a civilian as of this year.  Buck has 4 sons and 1 daughter, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Buck and Bonnie reside in Orlando.
